She is a graduate from Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Medical Illustration program at Rochester Institute of Technology, New York, one of five only accredited programs in the United States. She also holds a B.Sc in Biochemistry (Hons.) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, with studio art practice. After getting her undergraduate degree, she continued to study 3D animation, and 2D cel animation under animation directors Cheng Sung-yan and Fung Hing-keung while working in a medical communications agency. She has been intrigued by nature, art and science since childhood, and continues to explore the possibilities of combining them.

She was collaborating with the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) as a graduate fellow and worked on research projects on primate connectome in Dr. Suzanne Haber’s Lab. She was previously a junior medical illustrator summer intern in Singularity Science.

Currently, she is working as 3D artist at Sharecare Inc., creating 3D medical animations for healthcare professionals and patients.

Harmony Wong is a professionally-trained medical and scientific illustrator based in Boston/Hong Kong. She works on a wide range of biomedical visual projects, including illustrating figures for publications/grant proposals, 3D MOA medical animations, surgical illustrations, and patient education materials.
